Erica has been the key note speaker at several leadership days for years 6-12 students, including the Leaders and Achievers Forum at Macquarie University.
Erica’s focus on first “knowing who we are” before we can lead, encourages students to really understand what they value and who they are and then they can lead and communicate from a place of strength.
Communication Generation can customise a talk or workshop to compliment an event, unit of study or principle you wish to impart.
Just let us know what you are after and together we can craft an impacting session.
TV and Radio Presenter. Voiceover Artist. Emcee. Vocalist. Speaker.
Erica’s journey into the world of media officially began with her completion of a Bachelor of Arts in Television Production from Charles Sturt University in 1997.
Whilst still at university, Erica was approached by the 7 Network to work in Network News and Sport. Highlights from this period included working on the 2000 Sydney Olympics and the 2002 Commonwealth Games, and this year notches up her 23rd year with the 7 network.
Since 2003 she has produced and presented a weekly segment on Sydney Weekender, Australia’s favourite travel and lifestyle show. To date Erica has presented and produced over 750 stories for Sydney Weekender and is one of Australia’s longest running female television presenters.
In 2001 she commenced radio news reading for the SCA radio network, and since 2012 Erica also hosted her own morning radio show firstly in Sydney and then in Melbourne. Her voiceover abilities can also be heard on over 7 different radio stations through NSW.
A gifted and natural communicator, Erica has maintained her weekly television commitments while also accepting requests to host award nights, balls, gala’s and conferences for businesses, non-profit organisations, churches and community groups. Examples include the NSW Tourism awards, Variety The Children’s Charity and The Ladies Long Lunch at Rosehill Gardens for SmoothFM.
In addition to her on camera and radio work, Erica has also been featured in Cosmo Magazine, made guest appearances on Sunrise morning television and served as a featured guest speaker at leadership events for emerging school and community leaders.
Since 2015 Erica has facilitated behavioural change workshops within schools to over 20,000 students throughout NSW. Her passion for encouraging, equipping and empowering students to reach their full potential, combined with her experience and training has resulted in the creation and facilitation of Communication Generation – Erica’s inspiring and transformative workshop to help students find their voice.
Sounds busy right? Erica is also married with two teenage children and in her spare time loves, music, film and gardening.
“I am passionate about great communication. If you can state clearly and effectively what you want, need and care about, while showing respect to others, then you can do anything! Knowing how to communicate well will help students in EVERY area of life. I am excited I get to help them on that journey. I believe a great communicator can change the world.”
